![]() At some point in the writing of this book, the social and political unrest of the ‘70s started feeling relevant again. I wore a POW bracelet for my friend’s father who never returned. Also, because I came of age in that era, the Vietnam War really shaped me. Books like The Outsiders and the books that Leni reads are the books that I was reading. ![]() My dad was an adventurer, I moved around a lot as a kid, and books were really my friends.
